IoT/wireless
Wireless technologies actualize the vast device types required by IoT applications. We develop with many of our own long range wireless transceivers capable
of ultra long distances. These FCC
and CE certified modules can be incorporated as a part of a star, MESH, or hybrid wireless system for use in home
or business monitoring and controls. Combined with our imaging technologies, we've produced wireless components for trailcams, drones, building water leak detection and monitoring, and security systems.
Optics/Imaging
Since producing the first ever PC camera, the Quickcam, we've excelled in optics and imaging. The first FBI certified palm scanner combined optics, biometrics and algorithms. Our body mounted camera for police and recreational users utilize low light, thermal, and fusion technologies. And our latest thermal imagining projects have taken binoculars and rifle scopes to a whole new level. By incorporating our in-house designed, state-of-the-art shutterless algorithmic, non-uniform correction, we removed shutters from all our thermal products.
Acoustics
Our current projects use Digital Signal Processing (DSP) compression technologies for noise mitigation and sound enhancement in headsets and earbuds. These components fit into medical products as well as in ear protection at a firing range. These in ear devices protect your ears while enabling
a conversation.
Biofeedback
Using biofeedback technology and algorithms we produced healthcare devices using eye movement (EMDR) for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). For HeartMath products, we build Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and Interbeat interval (IBI) health and fitness products that reduce stress levels.
Ultrasound
At ODI we have developed consumer sporting products using sonic directional communications for both underwater and surface distance measuring. These components have been applied to fishing devices as well as collision avoidance.
Algorithms
Making use of copious amounts of data available to us is core to most applied embedded algorithms. Whether it’s identifying patterns for fingerprints, recognizing features like a deer or human using thermal imaging or LIDAR, or making sense of biofeedback for a fitness devices, our in-house scientists deliver the expertise needed to solve the problem at hand and create true AI decision making.
